While Rose is my maiden name it isn't really. My grandfather came over in 1913? and since he has passed I do not know what his surname really was. The various census have Rossel, Rose, and Ross.
The WWI registration says Rose but the WWII says Ross. All of them have the first name of Peter. Although his oldest sons death certificate lists his fathers name as Pato. Nickname? My father has passed also. His application for social security has his home town as Paliano, Italy. It is southeast of Rome. He has been my unsurmountable brick wall.

I have now started my own blog. I am hoping this will help with my genealogy research.
I have the Breden, Stockbarger, Frick, and Bobst lines well in hand. But there are a few walls that I am trying to climb. The Walker line stops at Daniel Walker. He was hung in Kentucky for killing his father in law and attempted murder of his mother in law in 1823. His son William and daughter Elizabeth married into the Holt family but what happened to his wife and the son who was accused of helping him? They disappear? And who were Daniel parents?
Then there is the Risen family. Sophie married into the Stockbargers but I can only get to her father Peter who died after 1850 in Perry County Ohio. I believe William was her brother but have no proof.
I hope someone out there can help me. Which means I will also get to meet new family.
